The Standard rack is quiet. Most owners report no perceptible change in cabin noise up to around 50mph. The Aero front is exceptionally quiet all the way up to motorway speed.
Yes, the rack sits flush with the roof and is no higher than the roof antenna, so it does not increase the vehicle's overall height.
The roof rack can be fitted to all models and specifications; however, in some cases it may prevent the sunroof from opening. On a Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 models, Rack3 long and Rack3 Aero allow the sunroof to remain operational. On Discovery 5 and Discovery Sport models, the sunroof cannot be opened when the roof rack is fitted.
